The Electro-Voice® Xi-Series™ brings premium, tour-quality sound to installation. Inspired by the features of EV´s acclaimed X-Array™ touring systems, the Xi-Series™ incorporates a potent combination of high-output and ultra-linear short, medium, and long-throw systems in two-way, three-way, and four-way configurations. Xi-Series™ loudspeakers incorporate the acoustic advantage of EV´s Ring-Mode Decoupling (RMD™), and features HP horns to secure excellent directivity control and even coverage.
The three-way systems can be operated in a Vertical Beam Shaping (VBS™) configuration using an EV Dx38 processor or the DSP in our P-Series RL amplifiers.This unique approach extends the vertical coverage angle control as low as 125Hz - well below that permitted by the mid-bass horn alone (about 800Hz). These can be thought of as two and three-element, low-frequency line arrays. This extraordinary low-frequency control is achieved through optimized woofer placement in conjunction with presets that overlap individual components (using All Pass Filters). To achieve sound performance without compromises, Xi-Series™ is designed for multi-way active operation, except the Xi-1082, which contains a passive crossover network.
Xi-Series™ is made of 18 mm, 13-ply birch plywood finished in black, textured paint and full-face protected by a powder-coated, steel front-grille backed with foam. These horn-loaded systems, except Xi-1123A/106F and Xi-212A3/106F, have an identical footprint for an uniform look. All systems, except the Xi-1082, have integrated handles and two L-Tracks on the top and bottom.

The Electro-Voice® Xi-1082 is an ultracompact, two-way, underbalcony or low-profile, full-range loudspeaker system. Its single eight-inch woofer avoids the midrange lobing of typical dual-woofer, underbalcony systems, and rear-mounted, threaded inserts connect with OmniMount® Series 100 hardware. U-bracket mounting hardware optional (Mb-1082).

The Electro-Voice® Xi-122MHA/64F is an ultracompact, high-level, two-way loudspeaker system design, featuring a ND12A 12-inch, neodymium, mid-bass driver (60 degree x 40 degree coverage) and a coaxially mounted ND6-16 three-inch diaphragm. The system features a high-frequency compression driver for high output, and a fully rotatable high-frequency section for vertical or horizontal suspension. The Xi-122MHA/64F also includes built-in, L-Track rigging, and has a footprint Identical to the Xi-1153A, Xi-1183A, Xi-2153A, Xi-1191A (F), and Xi-2181A (F).

The Electro-Voice® Xi-1183A/64F is a three-way, 18-inch, medium-throw, full-range system. It features a horn-loaded mid-bass section and a ND6 three-inch, titanium, high-frequency compression driver with neodymium motor. The Xi-1183A/64F is an 18-inch version of the Xi-1153A/64F that can delivers more than twice the low-frequency acoustic output.

The Electro-Voice® Xi-1191A is a large-volume, 18-inch, true subwoofer. It features an EVX-180B low-frequency driver for excellent linear excursion, and it provides superior thermal capability by housing only a single woofer in a basic Xi shell, which optimizes performance for very-low-frequency theatrical effects. The Xi-1191A can reach extreme lows (28-Hz 3-dB-down) in step-down mode with EQ 37 Hz, and can deliver three-dB-down point without EQ boost. The Electro-Voice® Xi-2122MHA delivers unprecedented high-level output in a two-way design. The Xi-2122MHA also features a high-frequency compression driver for very high output. The system has a far-field, long-throw, 40 degree x 20 degree coverage pattern, and comes with built-in L-Track rigging. The footprint is identical to the Xi-1153A, Xi-1183A, Xi-2153A, Xi-1191A (F) and Xi-2181A (F).

X-Array™ Xi-Series™ Speaker System
The Electro-Voice® Xi-2181A is a dual,18-inch, low-frequency system featuring Manifold Technology®. Two woofers in the basic Xi shell optimize performance for low-frequency enhancement of contemporary music (37 Hz three-dB-down with EQ). The Xi-2181A produces four times the acoustic output of the Xi-1191- above 50 Hz - and is designed for use when flyware is not required. The footprint is identical to the Xi-1153A, Xi-1183A, Xi-2153A, Xi-1191A (F), Xi-2122MHA, and Xi-1122MHA.
